4 Magickal Tools to Transform Your Business

If you’re into spirituality and intuition, you’ve probably turned to tarot cards, palm readings, crystals, and other mystical methods for things in your personal life, but have you ever considered trying these practices for your business?

In our 2021 webinar (IPIA members can view for free here), Lindsey Kimura explains how to use magickal tools in business practices.

Traditional business teachings often overlook the power of intuition and inner wisdom and focus on hard metrics and deadlines. The approach Lindsay taught in her webinar brings these elements to the forefront, showing how they can complement conventional business strategies rather than replacing them.

Using Intuitive Tools

Lindsay’s presentation covered four main categories of magical tools that can enhance both your life and business:

1. Archetypes: Know Thyself

Understanding archetypes—universal symbols and patterns that appear across different cultures—can help you gain deeper insights into yourself and how you operate in business.

Three powerful systems Lindsay highlighted include:

  • Tarot: doesn’t predict the future but can shed light on to a situation allowing you to make a decision with more clarity.
  • Human Design: was popularized in the 70s and layers a bunch of systems on top of each other to reveal your energy type: Generator, Projector, Manifestor, Manifesting Generator, or Reflector. Knowing your energy type can help you figure out what business methods work best for you.
  • Gene Keys: Another modern system incorporating astrology, human design, and archetypes to provide self-knowledge that can be applied to your business operations. Very similar to the Myers-Briggs

2. Astrology: Working with Cosmic Rhythms

Aligning your business activities with celestial cycles can create more flow and potency in your work. Lindsay suggested several ways to incorporate astrological wisdom:

  • Daily Sun Cycles: Consider the energy of different times of day.
  • Weekly Planetary Energies: Each day of the week corresponds to a different planetary energy. Plan activities that align with these energies or use them to create balance. This can be tricky when you are running a business, especially in a capitalist society.
  • Moon Cycles: The new moon represents fertile soil for planting ideas, the waxing moon supports growth, the full moon brings culmination and assessment, and the waning moon facilitates refinement and release.
  • Seasonal Planning: Structure your business calendar around natural seasons—winter for rest and planning, spring for launching, summer for growth, and fall for assessment and release. This also aligns well with many performer’s schedules, with summer being a big season for live entertainment. In the US, the fall can also be big for performers with an abundance of spooky events looking for live entertainment, and then a big spike for Holiday parties in December.

3. Nature: Attuning to Natural Rhythms

Incorporating elements from nature can bring powerful energy to your business:

  • Plants: Keep plants in your workspace to embody growth energy and learn from their natural cycles.
  • Flower Essences: These subtle remedies can support specific aspects of your work.
  • Animal Totems: Working with animal energies can provide guidance and insight.
  • Crystals: Different crystals carry unique energies that can support various business goals. For example, citrine for prosperity, stilbite for creativity, and amethyst for mental clarity.

4. Design: Creating Energetic Flow

How you design your business and space matters energetically:

  • Sacred Geometry: Incorporating powerful geometric patterns into your logo and marketing materials.
  • Energetic Architecture: Creating flow in your physical space and business systems.
  • Co-creation: Recognizing the collaborative nature of business and life.
  • Altars: Creating a sacred space in your business environment with representations of the four elements (air, fire, water, earth) to focus your intentions.
